    About Us:

    The Peace Economy Project (PEP) is dedicated to promoting peace and economic justice through research, advocacy, and community engagement. We are launching a podcast to further our mission by exploring topics related to peace, social justice, and economic transformation.

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Volunteer Web Developer/Manager to join our team. The Web Developer/Manager will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our website, ensuring it is user-friendly, up-to-date, and effectively supports our mission. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with web development skills and a passion for social justice to contribute to a meaningful cause.

    Key Responsibilities:

      Website Maintenance: Regularly update the website with new content, ensuring all information is current and accurate.

        Web Development: Develop new features and functionalities to improve the user experience and support organizational goals.

          Content Management: Manage the content management system (CMS), ensuring content is well-organized and easily accessible.

            SEO Optimization: Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and search engine rankings.

              Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for website-related issues.

                Security and Performance: Ensure the website is secure, performs well, and loads quickly. Regularly back up website data.

                  Analytics and Reporting: Monitor website traffic and performance using analytics tools, and provide regular reports to the team.

                  Qualifications:

                    Experience: Previous experience in web development, either professionally or through volunteer work.

                      Technical Skills: Proficiency in web development languages and tools such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress, or other CMS platforms.

                        SEO Knowledge: Understanding of SEO best practices and ability to implement them.

                          Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

                            Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.

                              Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

                                Passion for the Mission: A strong interest in social justice, peace, and economic issues.
