    Board Member - Peace at Workplace Non-Profit (Grants & Sponsors Expertise)

    Commitment: Part-Time (Monthly Meetings + Additional Responsibilities as Needed)

    About Us

    Peace at Workplace is a mission-driven organization dedicated to fostering peace, inclusivity, and conflict resolution in workplaces. Through innovative programs, advocacy, and training, we empower organizations to create harmonious work environments where employees thrive. We are currently offering the services for employees that need help for free.

    We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our Board of Directors, with a specific focus on securing grants and cultivating sponsor relationships to sustain and expand our impact.

    Role & Responsibilities

    As a Board Member specializing in grants and sponsorships, you will play a crucial role in the financial sustainability of our organization. Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Grant Strategy & Fundraising: Identify, research, and pursue grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and corporations that align with our mission.
    • Sponsorship Development: Establish and nurture relationships with corporate sponsors and donors to secure funding and long-term partnerships.
    • Advisory Role: Provide strategic guidance on fundraising efforts, ensuring alignment with our organization’s goals and sustainability.
    • Board Participation: Attend monthly board meetings, participate in committee work, and contribute to governance decisions.
    • Networking & Advocacy: Represent the organization at fundraising events, networking engagements, and partnership meetings.
    • Compliance & Reporting: Oversee grant application processes and ensure proper reporting and compliance with funding requirements.

    Qualifications & Experience

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    • Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, sponsorship development, or corporate philanthropy in a non-profit organization
    • Any experience in HR, Leadership coaching, Mental Health is big plus
    • Strong network and ability to cultivate relationships with donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors.
    • Knowledge of nonprofit financial structures and funding strategies.
    • Passion for workplace peacebuilding, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
    • Previous board or nonprofit leadership experience is a plus.

    Commitment & Expectations

    • Serve a term of 2 years (with renewal opportunities).
    • Contribute expertise and actively support the organization’s fundraising goals
    • Participate in meetings, or sponsorship outreach activities
