    Volunteer Non-Profit Grant Writer

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grant Writer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for our organization's programs and initiatives. This role requires exceptional writing abilities, strong research skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate our organization's mission and impact to potential funders.

    Responsibilities:

    • Research potential grant opportunities from various sources
    • Collaborate with program managers and other stakeholders to gather information and develop grant proposals that align with organizational goals and priorities
    • Write clear, compelling, and persuasive grant proposals that effectively communicate the organization's mission, objectives, and impact
    • Ensure that all grant proposals are submitted on time and meet the requirements of the funding source
    • Maintain accurate records of grant applications, deadlines, and outcomes
    • Build and maintain relationships with funders and grant-making organizations
    • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and funding opportunities in order to maximize success in securing grants

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., English, Communications, Nonprofit Management)
    • Proven experience in grant writing, with a track record of successfully securing funding from diverse sources
    • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive proposals
    • Strong research skills, including the ability to gather and synthesize information from various sources
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
    • Reporting alongside outcomes
    • Knowledge of nonprofit organizations and fundraising principles
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and grant management software is preferred
