Today's news makes us all think about doing more for our neighbors and community. You don't have to go across the country to find great need, it is right here in your neighborhood. But how do you get started in reaching out and helping those around you who are in need? How do you break the ice with someone you hardly know? What can you do that really matters?

HERE IS THE ANSWER!

Spend time with a neighbor who is alone, socially isolated or legally blind. When people who are older become less active in their community, they can also become forgotten. Visit a senior, take one to lunch or just listen to their stories of the good ole days before computers, cell phones and IPads. There is a neighbor close to you who can't see and needs some help with sorting their mail, getting to the store, bank or hair dresser. You can do so much with an hour or two per week, please help!
