    Description

Are you interested in making a tangible difference in a woman’s life? We're looking for passionate HiSET/GED tutors to work with our students one-on-one. You'll help women between the ages of 17 and 70 prepare for their High School Equivalency Test (HiSET), opening doors to new career paths and educational opportunities.

This is a remote tutoring opportunity, allowing you to make a difference from anywhere. We're specifically seeking volunteers who are available for one 90-minute session per week during the late afternoon or early evening hours, typically between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. You'll be matched with a student and meet at the same time and on the same day each week, based on your mutual availability. For example, you might meet every Tuesday from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.

    What you'll do:

    • Help students build foundational skills in Reading, Writing, Math, Social Studies, and Science.
    • Guide students through practice tests and study materials.
    • Provide encouragement and support to help students reach their goals.

    What we're looking for:

    • Basic knowledge of high school level Reading, Writing, Math, Social Studies, and Science. Tutors may choose a specific subject matter and tutor solely in that subject or can elect to teach more than one.
    • Experience in education or a strong background in Algebra I and II is a plus, but not required.
    • A reliable internet connection and a quiet space for your tutoring sessions.

If you have a passion for helping others and can commit to a weekly 90-minute session, we would love to hear from you.
