    Description

Puppy Raisers Needed to Raise a future service dog puppy!

No matter where you’re located in the U.S., you can volunteer to raise a puppy and be a part of something truly life-changing! Help inspire independence and provide service dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities!

    What’s in it for you?

    • Be a Hero: Play a crucial role in preparing a future service dog for their life-changing work.
    • Learn to Work with Dogs: No dog experience necessary-guidance and support are provided!
    • Have Fun: Enjoy the playful companionship of a puppy while making a lasting impact. Connect with a passionate community of puppy raisers, volunteers and graduates.
    • Flexible Commitment: While many choose to raise a puppy for the entire 16-18 month journey, we offer flexible options to fit your lifestyle

    What’s Involved?

    • Create a Loving Home: Provide a safe environment for a puppy (the only dog under 12 months in your home).
    • Learn and Grow: Teach essential puppy manners and skills with our support and resources, including a puppy class!
    • Stay Connected: Work closely with us to track the puppy’s progress and participate in regular puppy classes.
    • Ensure Wellness: Provide food, veterinary care and age-appropriate socialization.
    • Keep Active: Supervise their activities and use a leash. Consider bringing your puppy to work, if permitted.
    • Celebrate the Journey: Celebrate the incredible journey together, as the puppy returns to our training center and starts professional service dog training.
