    🔹 About ORD

    Oxygen for Relief & Development (ORD) is a registered Yemeni nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities affected by conflict and economic hardship. Our work focuses on sustainable development, food security, water and sanitation, capacity building, environmental protection, and community resilience.

    We are expanding our resource mobilization efforts and seeking a motivated volunteer to support grant research and donor outreach.

    🔹 Role Overview

    We are looking for a Volunteer Grant Research & Funding Assistant to help us identify international grants, foundations, donor platforms, and partnership opportunities. This role is ideal for someone passionate about humanitarian work who wants to make a real impact by strengthening the sustainability of a local organization in Yemen.

    This is a remote, flexible volunteer role.

    🔹 Key Responsibilities

    • Research international grant opportunities relevant to ORD’s focus areas.
    • Identify suitable donors, foundations, and funding programs (e.g., USAID, UN agencies, EU, CAF America, GlobalGiving, etc.).
    • Prepare brief summaries of opportunities and eligibility criteria.
    • Assist in drafting letters of interest (LOIs) or basic email outreach to potential partners.
    • Maintain a simple tracking sheet for potential grants and application timelines.
    • Coordinate with ORD’s Resource Mobilization Unit for next steps.

    🔹 Qualifications

    • Strong research and online search skills.
    • Good understanding of nonprofit fundraising or willingness to learn.
    • Good command of English (writing and reading).
    • Organized, proactive, and able to work independently.
    • Previous experience with NGOs, humanitarian work, or grant writing is an advantage but not required.
