California Representative (Volunteer)

Position Title: California Representative (Volunteer)

Organization: HELPING CHILDREN INC (501(c)(3) nonprofit)

Location: Remote (with occasional in-person responsibilities in California)

Time Commitment: 4–6 hours/month

Overview:

The California Representative acts as the key point of contact for HELPING CHILDREN INC within California, helping build local partnerships, manage official mail, represent the organization in community events, and support compliance activities.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as local contact for mail handling (via virtual mailbox or physical drop)
• Represent HELPING CHILDREN INC at community meetings or events (if needed)
• Assist with forming partnerships with California-based businesses and organizations
• Help coordinate and promote local fundraising or awareness events
• Attend monthly check-ins with our international team (via Zoom)
• Support grant research or basic administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Based in California with a stable internet connection
• Good communication and networking skills
• Passion for children’s rights, education, and global equity
• Experience with nonprofits or community organizing is a plus
