    Description

    The Lavender Project is a queer-led community initiative focused on increasing access to LGBTQIA2S+ literature, resources, and affirming spaces — especially in rural and underserved areas. We host pop-up events, distribute free books and resources, and uplift queer and trans voices of all ages.

    What We’re Looking For

    We’re seeking a volunteer Grant Writer to help us identify and apply for funding opportunities that align with our mission and values.

    Responsibilities May Include:

    • Researching grant opportunities (local, regional, or national)
    • Assisting with grant narratives and application materials
    • Helping organize documentation and deadlines
    • Collaborating with leadership to articulate impact and goals

    Ideal Fit:

    • Experience with grant writing preferred but not required
    • Strong writing and research skills
    • Interest in LGBTQIA2S+ advocacy, libraries, education, or community work
    • Comfortable working with a small, growing organization
