    POSITION: Hops for Heroes Program Coordinator (Virtual)

    DEPARTMENT: Development

    REPORTS TO: Vice President of Development

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Hops for Heroes Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Vice President of Development with overseeing the Hops for Heroes program. This virtual position is primarily focused on the outreach to craft breweries around the country to share information with them about the Hops for Heroes program with the goal of increasing program participation.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Assists the Vice President of Development with aspects of the Hops for Heroes program, as assigned.

    • Conducts online research to identify and outreach to craft breweries around the country.
    • Creates and maintains Excel spreadsheets of craft breweries that includes the brewery information, including primary contact name, phone number, email addresses, and social media information.
    • Connects with craft breweries via social media through the Hops for Heroes social media to grow the Hops for Heroes social media brand and to be able to outreach and message craft breweries about the program.
    • Follows up with craft breweries on supply needs, tasking deadlines, sales, and status updates.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Social media experience required.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Experience in marketing, communications, outreach or donor relations.
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities and strategic thinking.
    • Highly organized.
    • Ability to prioritize big picture ideas and execute into tangible actions.
    • Demonstrated ability to present effective and compelling messages to individuals, groups and the public.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work with a diverse variety of individuals.
    • Experience with Windows-based volunteer software.
    • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Suite computer skills.
    • Must be able to volunteer a minimum of 10 - 15 hours a week, most of which can be evenings, with some day time flexibility for occasional meetings.
