    Description

    Core ReStore Volunteer – Customer Service Assistant

    Everyday is different at Habitat Metro Denver's ReStores. We are looking for help at all locations (Arvada, Aurora, Denver, Littleton).

    No matter the day, you will support community members who rely on Habitat ReStores as a low-cost option for repairing their homes, and you will help generate critical revenue for Habitat's affordable homeownership programs.

    Habitat ReStores are home improvement outlets that sell new and gently used appliances, furniture, cabinets, building materials, and more at discount prices. All proceeds go towards our affordable homeownership programs that support hardworking, deserving individuals and families.

    As a Customer Service Assistant, you’ll be the welcoming face of the ReStore, helping customers navigate the store, promoting Habitat’s mission, and maintaining a clean, organized shopping environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting with people, values sustainability, and wants to make a tangible impact in their community.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Advocacy & Engagement
      • Serve as a Habitat ambassador to customers, donors, and volunteers.
      • Share Habitat’s mission and encourage community involvement.
    • Customer Support
      • Greet and assist customers with locating items and understanding store promotions.
      • Walk the sales floor to answer questions and provide support.
    • Product Knowledge
      • Stay informed about inventory and special promotions.
      • Educate customers on the purpose and impact of ReStore sales.
    • Store Maintenance
      • Organize aisles and departments for better customer flow.
      • Move priced items to the sales floor and sold items to designated areas.
      • Assist with pricing and markdowns.

    Qualifications

    • Friendly, enthusiastic, and communicative
    • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
    • Able to interact with diverse groups of people
    • Background check required
    • Retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
