    Instructions:

As a Warranty Manager responsible for overseeing various warranties, including equipment and electronics, your work-sample instructions should include the following steps:

    A. Warranty Data Entry: Create a comprehensive Google Sheet to log all warranty-related information. Include columns such as Item Description, Serial Number, Purchase Date, Warranty Expiry Date, Vendor/Supplier Contact, and Warranty Terms.

    B. Warranty Tracking: Regularly update the sheet with new warranty entries and amendments. Set up conditional formatting to highlight upcoming expiry dates (e.g., 30 days before expiry) to facilitate timely follow-ups.

    C. Claim Management: Document all warranty claims by recording claim submission dates, claim status (Pending, Approved, Denied), and resolution details. Attach relevant documents or photos in linked Google Drive folders.

    D. Vendor Communication:Maintain a section for vendor contact details and correspondence history to streamline communication regarding warranty issues.

    E. Reporting: Generate periodic reports summarizing active warranties, upcoming expiries, and unresolved claims using Google Sheets functions or connected tools like Google Data Studio.

    F. Access & Security: Share the Google Sheet with relevant stakeholders with appropriate permissions to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.

    G. Review & Audit: Conduct regular reviews of the warranty data for accuracy and completeness, and update procedures as necessary to improve workflow efficiency.

This structured approach will help ensure effective management of warranties using Google Sheets.
