Wig Boutique for Cancer Patients

Cancer CAREpoint's Wig Boutique provides a free wig to anyone experiencing hair loss related to cancer treatment. In addition to a wig, our clients can select a free hat and scarf to increase their choices of head coverings.

Volunteers staff our weekly (week day) wig boutique days as well as our offsite events (week days) throughout the year.

Volunteers help clients one at a time, in a safe and welcoming space, as they select a wig that they like and feel comfortable wearing. As each client tries on wigs, volunteers assist them in learning how to put on and care for their wig. Hair loss that occurs as a result of cancer treatment can be one of the most traumatic side-effects of treatment for many patients, affecting self-esteem and impacting social interactions. Many clients leave their Wig Bank appointment saying they feel more confident, or more like themselves again.
