The Donovan’s Venom is a 501c3 nonprofit organization focused on curating universal accessibility to fine arts and music education for all. We are passionately dedicated to ensuring that everyone, regardless of financial circumstances, has access to high-quality music education, performance opportunities, and fine art. We aim to inspire, empower, and uplift communities by fostering a love for music and the arts through our commitment to education, inclusivity, diversity, and social impact, which drives us to expand our reach continually and enrich the lives of those we serve.

We’re looking for a motivated Volunteer Public Relations Associate to join our team and help us raise awareness about our nonprofit’s work. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in media relations, storytelling, and community engagement — all while making a meaningful impact. You’ll help share our mission, highlight our programs, and connect with the people and organizations that make our work possible.

What you’ll do:

• Support media outreach by building relationships with journalists and community partners.
• Draft press releases, social media content, and other communications that share our story.
• Assist with the planning and promotion of events, press conferences, and community initiatives.
• Respond to media inquiries and help ensure accurate, timely communication.
• Collaborate with team members to craft messages that inspire and engage supporters.
• Track media coverage and help measure the impact of communications efforts.
