    Volunteering with Monarch Hospice

As an Administrative/Office Volunteer, you will provide essential support to our team who work within the community. Whether it is answering phones, making calls, or helping with paperwork, your help makes Monarch's mission possible.

Whether you have a couple of hours a week or more time to give, your presence can make a lasting difference.

    Who We Are

At Monarch Hospice and Palliative Care, we believe in embracing life and honoring every individual’s unique journey. Our Team is dedicated to offering compassionate, personalized care for those facing life-limiting illnesses. We focus on providing comfort, dignity, and support to patients and their families during one of the most challenging times in life. As a nurse-owned and locally operated organization, we understand the importance of tailoring care to meet the unique needs of our community.

    Administrative and Clerical Support

    • Volunteers assist with administrative tasks, such as answering phones, making reminder calls, and helping with paperwork. This can help hospice agencies function more efficiently and focus on patient care.

    Training and Requirements

    • Hospice volunteers typically receive specialized training to help them understand the needs of patients and families. The training often covers topics like grief, pain management, and ethical issues.
    • Volunteers may need to undergo background checks, health screenings, and orientation programs.

    Benefits of Volunteering

    • Personal fulfillment: Volunteers often find that offering care and compassion in such an intimate setting is deeply rewarding.
    • Skills development: Volunteers can gain experience in healthcare, grief counseling, and hospice care that may be valuable for their personal or professional lives.
    • Community impact: Hospice volunteers help strengthen community bonds by providing essential services and enhancing the quality of life for patients.

Hospice volunteers are essential in helping patients and families navigate the challenges of end-of-life care, offering kindness, respect, and a supportive presence during a sensitive time.
