Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to serve as Co-Lead for our New Careers Programming initiative. This role is perfect for someone passionate about environmental careers and workforce development who wants to make a meaningful impact in supporting new entrants to the green economy. Working collaboratively with another co-lead, you will help design and execute programming that connects aspiring green professionals with opportunities, resources, and industry insights.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development & Planning

• Collaborate with co-lead to identify and develop relevant programming for individuals new to the green workforce aligned with the GreenHomeNYC mission
• Research emerging trends in green careers and sustainability employment opportunities
• Design workshop formats, panel discussions, and networking events tailored to career changers and new graduates

Speaker Sourcing & Engagement

• Identify and recruit industry professionals, hiring managers, and green career experts as speakers
• Coordinate speaker logistics including scheduling, briefings, and content requirements
• Maintain relationships with a network of green industry professionals for ongoing programming
