    Seeking Board Members (Live or Work in Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, or Schuylkill County)

    MidEast PA Care and Advocacy Network is seeking passionate, skilled, and mission-driven individuals to join our Board of Directors during a pivotal period for our organization and the communities we serve. As a regional leader in providing access to HIV care, prevention, housing and other support services, our board is actively recuring new members with expertise in:

    • Grant Writing & Resource Development
    • Fundraising Strategy & Implementation
    • Strategic Planning & Organizational Sustainability

    Why Join? Our region faces significant funding cuts, delayed reimbursements, and evolving client needs. The Board is leading efforts to secure new revenue streams, diversify funding, and set a bold strategic vision for the future.

    Board Member Responsibilities:

    • Develop & execute fundraising campaigns and grant applications
    • Strategic planning
    • Organizational oversight (financial, risk management, and program impact)
    • Board and committee recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts
    • Advocate for diverse, inclusive, and client-centered approaches in all board activities

    Ideal Candidate - Experience in:

    • Nonprofit grant writing and fundraising
    • Strategic planning, especially in health, human services, or community development
    • Navigating organization through financial or operation challenges
    • Board governance, committee leadership, or volunteer engagement
    • Diversity, lived experience, and regional representation are highly valued

    Commitment:

    • Attend regular board meetings (in-person/virtual options available) - Primary Board of Directors meetings held bimonthly on the first Tuesday, 6-8pm (with additional meetings for committees, committee work, and MidEast PA CAN's annual meeting in early September)
    • Participate in committee work (Fundraising, Allocations, Strategic Planning, etc.)
    • Engage with staff, providers, and community stakeholders
    • Support board recruitment efforts
