    Description

    The Grant Writing Specialist will play a key role in supporting The Shoebox Project for

    Women’s fundraising efforts by researching, developing, and drafting grant proposals.

    This role is ideal for an experienced grant writer who is passionate about women’s

    empowerment and community-based impact.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Research funding opportunities aligned with the organization’s mission and

    programs

    • Draft, edit, and refine grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting

    documentation

    • Work collaboratively with staff to gather program data, budgets, and impact

    metrics

    • Assist in developing a grant calendar and tracking submission deadlines
    • Support reporting requirements for successful grants, as needed

    Skills & Experience

    • Demonstrated experience in grant writing and funding research
    • Strong written communication and attention to detail
    • Familiarity with Canadian funders (foundations, corporations, government) is an

    asset

    • Ability to translate program impact into compelling narratives
