    Description

    Open Arms’ Baby Boutique provides free baby clothes, lactation supplies, and essential items to families in our community. The Boutique is open to the public every Thursday, and we are seeking volunteers to warmly welcome and assist Spanish-speaking families during their visits. Volunteers will help guide families through our space, respond to requests for baby items and resources, and ensure a supportive and respectful environment.

    Shift Hours: Thursdays, between 9:30am – 3:00pm. Volunteer shifts are flexible within this time frame.

    Location:

    In-person at our office in El Centro de la Raza on Beacon Hill

    Tasks:

    • Greet and welcome Spanish-speaking families during Baby Boutique hours
    • Guide visitors through the space and assist with baby item and resource requests
    • Support families with compassion and respect, ensuring a positive experience
    • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
    • Lift and carry items (typically under 15 lbs) as needed
    • Uphold client confidentiality at all times

    Qualifications:

    • Spanish language proficiency required
    • Compassionate and supportive of Open Arms’ mission and values
    • Friendly, flexible, and respectful of all visitors and staff
    • Experience working with diverse communities
    • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or exemption
    • Background check required
    • Ability to lift 10–15 lbs
    • Availability on Thursdays during Boutique hours
