Thank you for considering volunteering to serve as a mentor in the Shelton CT Public Schools!
Mentors serve as positive role models, helping to build the self esteem of their mentees. Following a background check and training program, you will be matched with a student in one of the Shelton Public Schools. You then meet with your "mentee" at school once a week throughout the school year- talking, playing games, reading or enjoying other activities.
As a mentor you will feel rewarded just seeing the changes that can occur as the young person you mentor matures and grows to reach their full potential.
Volunteering for just one hour each week can make difference in a young person’s life that can last a lifetime. Won't you consider joining our mentoring team?
Once you have completed your this interest form, our Mentor Program Coordinator will contact you to discuss program details with you further.
