    Description

Marketing Manager – Muffled Voices Festival

Muffled Voices is an international opera festival produced by Lyrica Classic, a global 501(c)(3) nonprofit music organization. The festival celebrates and stages operas by women composers — works that have been historically silenced or overlooked — and brings their stories to audiences worldwide.

Our next U.S. season will open November 22, 2025, in Maryland with two powerful chamber operas, including the U.S. premiere of Baruch’s Silence, based on a Holocaust diary. We are looking for a passionate and creative Marketing Manager to join our team starting immediately through the end of the year, with a minimum three-month commitment.

What You’ll Do (you can apply for one or more of these areas)

    • Develop and execute a marketing strategy for the festival’s U.S. season.
    • Create engaging content for social media, email newsletters, and press releases.
    • Manage our social media presence to grow and engage audiences.
    • Build connections with local communities, cultural organizations, and media in Maryland/DC to promote the festival.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Experience in marketing, social media management, or communications (arts experience a plus).
    • Creative thinker with strong writing and organizational skills.
    • Passion for music, storytelling, and community engagement.

    Why Join Us?

    • Make a tangible impact by helping amplify the voices of women composers.
    • Be part of an international festival with a meaningful mission.
    • Flexible schedule — approx. 5-10 hours per week, remote or local to Maryland/DC.
    • Receive a certificate recognizing your contribution as Marketing Manager (or another relevant title) after your service.
    • Gain hands-on experience in arts marketing and community outreach.

If this speaks to you, please email your CV and a short cover letter to info@lyricaclassic.org, and we’ll arrange a Zoom call to discuss next steps.
