We are open for new members of our Board of Directors

Support conservation efforts in the Sonoma Mountains by joining our board!

SONOMA MOUNTAIN PRESERVATION is looking for one or two more people to join our Board of Directors.

Time commitment = 3-10 hours/month.

Applicants should reside in Sonoma or Northern Marin County.

Hybrid in-person/Zoom meetings are held six times a year (even months; prefer at least half in-person). Candidates will ideally align with our nonprofit organization’s mission and vision.

Our mission is to preserve Sonoma Mountain’s scenic, agricultural, and natural resources by cultivating a sense of place, engaging people with the landscape, and inspiring them to become mountain stewards. We:

• Expand recreational opportunities on the mountain
• Provide a forum for constructive discussion of issues relating to the mountain
• Represent the interests of the mountain before public and private agencies and organizations
• Support and encourage the development of multi-use trails for low-impact access to the mountain
• Stimulate interest among county residents in supporting all these goals.
