West Tuality Habitat for Humanity believes affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities and is a foundation for breaking the cycle of poverty. Our programs not only build homes, they build community.
One of our most important outreach resources is the Forest Grove ReStore, which sells gently used furniture, appliances, plumbing and building supplies, sports equipment books and more, as well as, occasionally, overstock items from big box suppliers. We would love to do a series of VERY short, fun videos to illustrate what we can and cannot take in terms of donations, or why to visit the ReStore regularly, etc., but we need people to be actors in such videos.
Our volunteer actors need to:
We would prefer a group to volunteer together for this. We need at least five volunteers at once, for about three hours at a time, no more than 10 at once, for each video shooting. Your group can volunteer for just one video, or for multiple shoots.
We also strongly encourage you to follow West Tuality Habitat for Humanity on Facebook and Instagram and YouTube and to view our web site to learn more about us.
This is a FUN way to be a part of the excitement of Habitat for Humanity and to help improve donations and sales to our ReStore.
Volunteers are representatives of Habitat for Humanity and are expected to follow our Code of Conduct, which is available on our web site.
We are happy to sign off on any paperwork if you undertake this role for a class or if you want to do this for assigned community service.
We already involve volunteers in most aspects of our house-building and home repairs (and you are welcomed to do that too!) - but we want the community involved and invested even more in what we do, and a way to do that is involving more volunteers.
We have more volunteering opportunities listed on our web site at www.westualityhabitat.org
