    About WOCOTM

Women of Color On The Move (WOCOTM) is a global nonprofit dedicated to empowering women, girls, families, and communities through education, leadership development, advocacy, workforce training, and trauma‑informed support. We use storytelling and digital media to elevate voices, mobilize communities, and drive systems change.

    Role Overview

WOCOTM is seeking a creative, tech‑savvy AI Video Creator / AI Content Creator to produce talking‑head avatar videos, résumé/intro videos, program explainers, short‑form social content, and training modules. You’ll leverage AI video platforms alongside traditional editing tools to deliver high‑quality, culturally respectful content that advances our mission.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys scripting, shaping narratives, and using AI to scale production—while maintaining ethical standards, accessibility, and brand integrity.

    Key Responsibilities

    • End‑to‑end video production: Plan, script, storyboard, produce, edit, and deliver short- and medium‑form videos for web, training, and social platforms.
    • AI avatar & voiceover production: Create speaking‑avatar videos (program intros, leadership messages, course intros, résumé/volunteer intro videos) using approved platforms.
    • Content repurposing: Convert long content (webinars, interviews, reports) into bite‑sized clips, reels, and verticals.
    • Template library: Build reusable templates for captions, lower thirds, intro/outro stings, and thumbnails following WOCOTM brand guidelines.
    • Social‑ready packaging: Format content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and Facebook with platform‑specific ratios, hooks, and durations.
    • Accessibility & localization: Add accurate captions, open/closed subtitles, on‑screen text, and alt text; support light localization with AI translation when appropriate.
    • Ethics & safety: Ensure all AI‑generated content is copyright‑safe, bias‑aware, consent‑based, and trauma‑informed; maintain privacy for survivors and minors.
    • Collaboration: Work with Communications, Programs, and Training to align content with campaigns, curriculum, and advocacy needs.
    • Asset management: Organize source files, project files, and final renders in a clear folder structure for easy team reuse.
    • Performance insight: Track and share basic metrics (views, retention, completion rates) to guide iteration.

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications

    • Video & audio: Experience with short‑form storytelling, basic lighting/framing, and clean audio.
    • AI video tools (any): Synthesia, HeyGen, Elai, D‑ID, Colossyan, CapCut AI, Adobe Premiere/Express AI, Descript, Clipchamp (Copilot), Canva AI.
    • Editing & design: CapCut, Adobe Premiere/Express, DaVinci Resolve, Descript, Canva, Microsoft Clipchamp; thumbnail and motion basics are a plus.
    • Scripting & narrative: Ability to turn briefs and interviews into clear scripts with strong hooks and calls‑to‑action.
    • Branding & compliance: Familiarity with brand systems, rights management, model releases, and nonprofit privacy requirements.
    • Accessibility: Captioning, transcripts, high‑contrast safe color, readable typography, and inclusive imagery.
    • Mindset: Highly organized, deadline‑reliable, iterative, and aligned with WOCOTM’s mission and trauma‑informed practices.

Nice to have: Simple motion graphics, basic After Effects or Canva animations; knowledge of social analytics; experience with LMS or training design.

    What You’ll Produce (Examples)

    • 30–90s AI talking‑head updates from leadership or program leads.
    • Résumé/intro videos for volunteers and partners (with consent and privacy).
    • Program explainers and training intros for EmpowerHER and related curricula.
    • Event promos, impact reels, and advocacy calls‑to‑action.
    • Story spotlights that protect dignity and confidentiality while celebrating wins.

    Success Metrics (KPIs)

    • Quality & compliance: Brand‑consistent visuals, accurate captions, appropriate consent.
    • Throughput: 2–4 short videos
