    Description

AccentCare Hospice is seeking compassionate individuals to join our volunteer team and help bring comfort, joy, and connection to patients through the healing power of music. As a Music Companion, you’ll have the opportunity to brighten someone’s day simply by sharing your voice, instrument, or favorite playlist. Whether you sing, play, or just love music, your presence can make a profound difference in the lives of those at the end of life.

In addition to music companionship, volunteers can also support patients and families through:

    • Spiritual Companionship – offering prayer and faith-based support
    • Aromatherapy – providing calming sensory experiences
    • Pet Therapy Visits – bringing smiles through Loyal Friends therapy dog teams
    • Legacy Projects – helping patients create meaningful keepsakes
    • Bereavement Support – making caring phone calls to grieving families
    • Memory Bear Sewing – crafting bears from loved ones’ clothing
    • Vigil Volunteering – offering a peaceful presence during final moments

AccentCare Hospice, formerly Seasons Hospice, serves patients and families throughout your community. Our volunteers visit patients wherever they call home—whether in private residences, assisted living, or nursing facilities—to offer companionship and emotional support.

Even if you only have a few hours a month to give, your time and talents are deeply valued. We offer free, flexible training that fits your schedule, and you can choose the type of service that speaks to your heart. Volunteers ages 15 and up are welcome—teens may serve indirectly or buddy with trained volunteers for in-person visits.

Let your love of music and compassion bring light to someone’s life. We’d be honored to welcome you to our volunteer family.
