    Description

Global Resilience Club founders at colleges, high schools

The current time is creating anxiety for everyone, and difficulties for many around the globe. We are looking for volunteers to start a 'Resilience Club' at your school that will concretely address both problems, in a creative way: we will raise small amounts of funds to bring in virtual speakers who have shown tremendous resilience in their local areas, to speak to the club and answer questions. People who have lived through displacement and disaster and have organized and thrived, who have succeeded at moving from dictatorship to democracy in their countries, can come speak and discuss in small groups the feelings and concerns that members may have. This creative engagement can unlock new strategies for hope and resilience in our time.

Also if you are already a member of a club who might like to do a one-off speaker, also please respond here.

    Private Group Details:

    • Group Size Range: 1 - 50+
    • Event can be held at a volunteer group location (e.g. office, park)
    • Event can be held at organization location(s)
    • Event can be held virtually
    • Donation Requested
    • Its not for the opportunity, but the goal of the club is to raise funds for small speakers fees - like $100 or $200 - for these individuals to come and engage.
