    Description

Reading Tutor Needed at American Fork Library

Reading tutors work one-on-one with students for 30 minutes on T/W/Th between 3-5 pm at the American Fork Library (Academic Lab). The tutor is needed immediately for Wednesday between 4:30-5:00 and available as a sub for the other days. Their regular schedule would gradually grow out from there as needed, so full availability needs to be 3-5pm T/W/TH.

The tutor will listen as the child reads aloud and gently correct and teach as necessary. We have games and other activities to help reinforce what the child needs to work on. Reading tutors need to be gentle and patient at all times.

Special benefits to volunteers 55 and older:

    • Mileage reimbursement
    • Supplemental insurance while volunteering
    • Recognition events
    • Access to other volunteer opportunities and community events
