    Android Team Coordinator

    Role Overview:

    Greenstand is seeking an Android Team Coordinator to support the organization, communication, and workflow of the Android Tree Tracker App team. This role helps keep tasks on track, maintains alignment with the app roadmap, and ensures contributors have what they need to stay productive. The Coordinator works closely with the Project Manager, Team Wrangler, UX contributors and developers to help deliver features like GPS accuracy upgrades, UX flow simplification, wireframe updates, debugging improvements, and smoother tree capture processes. This is a people and process role that keeps the team moving forward.

    AREAS of RESPONSIBILITY

    • Coordinate daily and weekly workflows for the Android team based on roadmap priorities that include UI refinement, icon standardization, updated wireframes, structured testing cycles, and improvements planned for version releases.
    • Track active tasks in Github and maintain clear visibility into what is in progress, what is blocked, and what needs attention. Communicate updates to the Project Manager and the team.
    • Support contributors by clarifying tasks, answering process related questions, and guiding them to the correct documentation or team members.
    • Facilitate communication across the Android team by sharing updates, collecting blockers, and ensuring information flows smoothly between engineers, designers and testers.
    • Assist with release preparation by helping track short testing rounds, updating tasks lists, and coordinating version specific deliverables, such as improvements to GPS accuracy or adjustments to capture timing.
    • Help keep documentation organized by maintaining folders, updating process notes, ensuring wireframes are accessible, and supporting the cleanup of design and project materials.
    • Coordinate onboarding for new Android contributors, ensuring they receive introductions, documentation, communication guidelines, and relevant project context.
    • Support a positive team environment through check ins on slack, encouragement and regular communication.

    SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

    • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate a remote team
    • Experience with team coordination, operations, volunteer management or project support
    • Experience with Github issues or similar platforms
    • Strong organization skills and experience multitasking
    • A proactive and supportive approach suited for helping contributors stay engaged and productive.
    • Basic knowledge of Android development or UX work is helpful.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience coordinating teams or managing workflows.
    • Ability to work independently while keeping the team connected and informed.
    • Comfort working in a remote environment.
