GlowUp ACS (Remote | Flexible Schedule)

    Who We Are

GlowUp ACS is a newly formed 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting college students who struggle to access traditional internships due to a lack of prior experience. We create structured, supportive opportunities that focus primarily on education, training, and professional skill-building—helping students gain confidence and real-world exposure.

Although we are newly incorporated as a nonprofit, we have successfully run volunteer and internship-style programs in previous years and are now expanding under our official nonprofit status.

    What We Do

Our programs are designed around what students actually need:

    • Hands-on exposure to tools and workflows
    • Training and guided learning (not just “work”)
    • Resume, cover letter, portfolio, and LinkedIn support
    • A flexible, human-centered environment that understands real life

Education and training are the core of everything we do.

    Who This Role Is For

This role is intentionally open-ended. We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds and skill levels. Many people don’t realize their skills are relevant until they join us — and we love discovering unexpected strengths.

You might be a great fit if you have experience (or interest) in:

    • Administrative or organizational support
    • Creative work (design, writing, media, content)
    • Technology or digital tools
    • Mentorship or guidance
    • Operations, planning, or coordination
    • Or something entirely different

If you’re unsure whether your skills apply — that’s okay. We’ll help figure it out together.

    Schedule & Flexibility

We are fully remote and highly flexible. Volunteers typically contribute during our active hours (roughly 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM ET), but when and how often you participate is up to you. Volunteers come and go according to their own schedules, and we are very accommodating of shifting availability.

    What You’ll Gain

Volunteers who stay involved with us receive support similar to what we offer interns, including:

    • Resume and cover letter feedback
    • LinkedIn and portfolio guidance
    • Professional development support
    • Meaningful experience within a growing nonprofit

Some volunteers may also choose to explore deeper involvement over time, including leadership or board pathways.

    Remote Technology Requirement

Because we operate almost entirely remotely, volunteers must have:

    • A working computer or laptop
    • A microphone and webcam
    • The ability to download basic apps or use browser-based tools (such as Slack or Notion)

We are actively working toward future laptop donations and grants, but at this time, we cannot support volunteers with unreliable or nonfunctional computers.

    Interested?

If you’re looking for a flexible, supportive volunteer experience that genuinely invests in people — we’d love to hear from you.
