The Planning Committee’s main objective is to assist in planning and organizing the event day details.
Planning committee volunteers will work to enhance the participant experience on event day.

Some examples of the subcommittees/responsibilities are:
Food & Fun: plan fun games, arrange activities and entertainment throughout the day, help to secure in-kind breakfast, lunch, and grocery items for rest stops, entertainment on-site and on the route, work with local staff on the event program, including speakers
VIP & Mission: work with team committee to ensure Red participants are invited to speak at the opening ceremony, plan a mission moment, secure a motivational speaker, and secure enhancements to the Living Red and Champion tents like massage therapists, specialty food items, decoration, ensure branding and mission is integrated at event
Community Outreach: helps with outreach to Bike Shops or Clubs, manages training events, generates buzz via the digital community, helps promote the event within the community, including social media.
Volunteer Recruitment: Reach out to volunteer groups, schools, community organizations to ensure all event day volunteer positions are covered. Actively communicate with volunteers before, during, and after the event.
