    About LLF:

    The Lyra Legacy Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing mentorship, scholarship, and workforce development for youth—particularly young women, young men, and minorities from underserved communities. We empower the next generation of leaders through culturally rooted and community-driven initiatives.

    Volunteer Overview:

    LLF is launching a dynamic Mentorship Program aimed at supporting college students, recent graduates, and high school youth from diverse backgrounds. We are seeking motivated, community-minded Volunteers—particularly young women and men from underrepresented groups—to play a key role in designing and building this impactful initiative from the ground up.

    Volunteers will contribute to every stage of the program’s development—from research and strategy to outreach and implementation—based on their area of study and interest.

    Ideal Candidates Have Academic Backgrounds In:

      • Psychology/Sociology: to help shape a mentorship model grounded in social-emotional development, community needs, and inclusive support systems
      • Business Administration: to support program planning, logistics, documentation, and partnership building
      • Marketing/Communications: to craft outreach strategies, promotional content, and branding that resonates with our target audiences

    Key Responsibilities:

      • Collaborate on the design of the mentorship structure and participant experience
      • Conduct research on successful mentorship models and best practices
      • Develop outreach materials to recruit mentors and mentees
      • Assist with program documentation, tracking systems, and administrative support
      • Support marketing efforts through social media, digital campaigns, and community engagement
      • Attend virtual planning meetings and participate in team brainstorming sessions

    Qualifications:

      • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university
      • Strong interest in community development, youth empowerment, and social equity
      • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
      • Ability to work independently and take initiative
      • Passion for making a difference in the lives of others
