    CHILDREN HOME CARING

    HIGHLIGHT OF THE ACTIVITY

    Duration: 2 weeks (or customizable depending on volunteer preference)

    Focus Areas:

    • Teaching academic subjects (Math, English, Science, etc.)
    • Building confidence, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
    • Encouraging creativity and talent exploration
    • One-on-one mentorship

    DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY

    As a volunteer, you’ll assist children at Neema International, our valued partner based in Uru, Kilimanjaro. You’ll help them understand and learn school subjects like Math, English, and Science. Your work will be guided by Neema’s team to align with each child’s learning needs.

    During school holidays, volunteers can offer creative and interactive activities outside the regular curriculum. During the academic term, volunteers will support ongoing school programs and may assist in after-school tutoring or structured classes.

    You’ll also contribute to building life skills, such as confidence, leadership, self-expression, and emotional well-being, reinforcing Neema International’s mission to empower Tanzania’s youth.

    Instructions:

    DAILY ACTIVITY SCHEDULE

    • Day 01: Arrival at JRO Airport and transfer to accommodation
    • Day 02: Introductory briefing and familiarization with children and staff at Neema International
    • Day 03-12: Teaching sessions, mentoring, group activities, and cultural immersion
    • Day 13: Closing reflection and farewell

    NB: Kindly if you will be interested we shall offer the affordable trip to safaris or day trip around Moshi /Arusha.
