    Description

    Office Admin Volunteer

    Organization: The Umbrella Brigade

    Location: 587 E State Road 434, Unit 3021 & 3055, Longwood, FL 32750

    Hours: Minimum 2-hour shifts during office hours:

    • Monday: 11 AM – 3 PM
    • Tuesday: 11 AM – 4 PM
    • Wednesday: 11 AM – 3 PM
    • Thursday: 11 AM – 5 PM
    • Friday: 11 AM – 5 PM
    • Saturday: By Appointment Only
    • Sunday: Closed

    Role Overview

    The Umbrella Brigade is seeking friendly and dependable volunteers to help keep our office running smoothly while supporting clients in need. As an Office Admin Volunteer, you’ll play an important role in welcoming visitors, providing resources, and assisting with day-to-day office tasks.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist clients as they shop our pantry and connect them with available resources.
    • Meet with clients to help them use the computer for applications, job searches, or other needs.
    • Receive and organize donations that arrive during your shift.
    • Support office tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and light administrative work.
    • Provide a welcoming and respectful environment for all clients and donors.

    Qualifications

    • Friendly, patient, and compassionate when working with clients.
    • Comfortable using a computer, email, and phone.
    • Reliable and punctual for scheduled shifts.
    • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs (e.g., donation boxes, pantry supplies).
    • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time as needed.
    • Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
