    Description

    A Beary Big Bear Making Event

    March of the Blanketeers cordially invites you to join us for our 2026 Beary Big Bear Making Event to be held on Sunday, February 1st, from 24

    PM at the Nesconset Branch of the Smithtown, NY Library in the Community Room. Bring some friends and family. Only a limited amount of supplies will be available so please bring bear-making materials to use [Bear colored fabric, fleece and yarn (black brown, gray, beige or white) embroidery floss needles, and batting.]. The bears we make will be given to comfort sick children. Everything made will stay with March of the Blanketeers for washing, and distribution.

    Pizza, and soda will be available.

    If community service hours are needed, this event is worth two hours of community service.

    Additionally, our Eco-friendly fundraiser shaving products collection box will be present.

    RSVP by E-mail before January 26th, 2026 with your name and the number of people you are bringing to by signing up for this oportunity.

    Instructions:

    Please bring one bag of batting or a roll of Forever Postcard stamps to donate to our cause as an entrance fee. {NOTE: every item you bring, nd every item you make is tax deductible.} MUST have prior crafting knowledge, and speak English. Everything made (even in partial) must be left with us for washing, and distrubtion. Our Terracycle Shaving goods recycling box will be present.
