    Description

    Hello there!

    Thank you for your interest in volunteering. We are currently looking for an extra set of hands to help us prepare food for our pet food pantry. The Better Neighbor Project hosts and supports pet food pantries in the greater Los Angeles Area.

    Pet Food Packers will be responsible for:

    • Packaging and preparing dry food to be ready for distribution and events
    • Lifting and/or moving up to 25lbs of pet food
    • Maintaining the packing area clean
    • Supporting staff in preparing for the pet pantry distribution

    Required Training/Qualifications:

    • On-Site Training
    • Minimum 16 years of age (ages 13-15 may volunteer with a parent/guardian)
    • Possess a basic range of motion and energy to complete simple tasks such as sweeping, wiping down, lifting, and/or moving up to 25lbs, etc.
    • *We ask that volunteers sign up for no more than one 2-hour shift per day, maximum*
