    Description

Help Columbus Cancer Clinic Patients as a Groceries-to-Go Delivery Volunteer!

Put your passion into action and help Columbus Cancer Clinic patients as a Groceries-to-Go Delivery Volunteer with LifeCare Alliance. Volunteer teams welcome! Hit the road and make a difference. Do you enjoy driving? Looking for a way to positively impact people in a fundamental way each time you volunteer? This could be for you. Reference written lists and fill grocery orders in the LifeCare Alliance pantry for Columbus Cancer Clinic patients. Orders consist of 2 weeks of groceries for cancer patients and their families. Use your personal vehicle, and great driving skills to deliver these groceries. This volunteer position requires ample vehicle space to accommodate the amount of groceries for deliveries (2 weeks of groceries for 1 or 2 clients per delivery route). Share a smile and provide peace of mind to clients and families affected by cancer. Often, these clients have to leave jobs or take reduced roles while undergoing treatment. These groceries help them get nutrients they need, and help ensure their family is fed.

To volunteer, join the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) a volunteer program exclusive to Ohio residents in Franklin County ages 55 years and older. We match volunteers ages 55+ with nonprofits in their community that either need or rely on volunteers to be able to provide their services. Funded through the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) and part of AmeriCorps Seniors, VANTAGE Aging’s Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is one of the largest volunteer networks in the nation for people 55 years and over. We partner with nonprofit agencies to match these older adults to their volunteer opportunities. RSVP projects link the skills of the volunteers with the identified needs of the community. We think of ourselves as the 'center hub' for our volunteers looking for opportunities. We offer many wonderful incentives and perks to our team of RSVP volunteers, this program is free and so rewarding to be a part of.
