    Make Cat Blankets... or Make Cat Wands!

    RASKC always welcomes donations of cat cozy blankets (if they are made of fleece only) and also donations of cat wands.

    CAT BLANKETS: There are sewing and non-sewing options. You would make the blankets at your home.

    If you seek community-service hours, then you would arrange a delivery date with the Volunteer Program Manager.

    Otherwise, you may drop off the blankets (or wands) any weekeday 12- 6pm or any weekend 12- 5pm except holidays.

    RASKC places at least one cozy blanket in each feline's condo. Then that blanket will go home with the cat/ kitten when they are adopted. This provides a nice sense of continuity between the shelter and the new adopter's home.

    There was a situation when kitten Marie was very resistant to being placed in a cat carrier to go to her new adoptive home. When, however, one of the cat blankets from her kennel was placed in the carrier, it was then easy to place Marie in the carrier!

    CAT WANDS: Cats and kittens love to interact with potential adopters and volunteers with cat wands. This is a terrific source of enrichment for the felines.
