    Description

TruthHackers is a new nonprofit initiative dedicated to helping people — especially young people — spot misinformation, think critically, and protect healthy civic life. We use science-based storytelling, fact-checking, and interactive tools to make truth-seeking engaging and accessible.

We’re looking for a passionate and creative Social Media & Digital Engagement Coordinator to help set up and grow our online presence. This role is ideal for someone who wants to use their digital skills to make a difference in the fight against misinformation.

    What You’ll Do

    • Help establish TruthHackers’ presence across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn).
    • Create and schedule engaging content (short posts, graphics, clips) aligned with our brand voice.
    • Support campaigns tied to TruthHackers videos, fact-checks, and educational tools.
    • Engage with followers, respond to comments, and help grow our online community.
    • Provide ideas for how we can best reach Gen Z, Millennials, and educators.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Strong interest in media literacy, social good, or digital activism.
    • Familiarity with current social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
    • Experience creating content (graphics, video clips, memes, or short posts).
    • Organized and reliable, able to manage posting schedules.
    • Bonus: familiarity with nonprofit communications, fact-checking, or digital education.

    What You’ll Gain

    • Be part of the founding team of a bold new nonprofit.
    • Gain experience in mission-driven digital communications.
    • Build your portfolio with impactful campaigns.
    • Help empower a generation to be more resilient against misinformation.

Time commitment: Flexible, starting at 3–5 hours per week.

Compensation: This role begins as a volunteer position, with potential for paid work as TruthHackers grows.

👉 Would you like me to make two versions — one that feels more professional/LinkedIn-like (for experienced comms folks), and one that’s more youth/activist-friendly (to attract passionate younger volunteers)? That way you could test which audience resonates more on Idealist.
