    About GlowUp ACS

GlowUp ACS is a nonprofit organization focused on workforce development, job readiness, and equitable access to professional training. We support small businesses, nonprofits, and community initiatives by pairing them with emerging professionals who gain real-world experience through hands-on, mission-driven work.

    Volunteer Role Overview

We are seeking motivated, reliable volunteers to join our fully remote team. Volunteers work on real projects that directly support our programs, partners, and internal operations.

This is not a one-day or drop-in opportunity — it’s designed for individuals who want to learn, contribute, and grow in a structured but supportive nonprofit environment.

    What You’ll Work On

Volunteer responsibilities vary based on interest and skill set, and may include:

    • Communications, outreach, or content support
    • Marketing, storytelling, or brand-related projects
    • Community engagement and partnerships
    • Research, data, or program support
    • Operations, coordination, or internal systems

You may collaborate across departments and work closely with interns and nonprofit leadership.

    What Volunteers Gain

    • Practical experience you can list on your rĂ©sumĂ© or LinkedIn
    • Portfolio-ready projects (where applicable)
    • Exposure to nonprofit leadership and strategy
    • Mentorship, feedback, and professional guidance
    • Verified volunteer hours and references upon successful completion
    • A flexible, inclusive, remote work environment

Many past participants have used this experience to strengthen graduate school applications, secure internships, or transition into paid roles elsewhere.

    Who Should Apply

This role is a strong fit if you are:

    • A clear and professional communicator
    • Comfortable working remotely and asynchronously
    • Organized, proactive, and accountable
    • Open to learning new tools and workflows
    • Aligned with values of equity, inclusion, and community impact

No specific major, background, or location required.

    Commitment & Logistics

    • Fully remote
    • Flexible scheduling (student-friendly)
    • Minimum commitment encouraged: several weeks (rolling basis)
