    Volunteer Job Summary

    Global OffSite Care is a 501c3 nonprofit and our mission is to increase access to specialized healthcare for all by providing technology platforms to doctors and clinics around the world through Rotary Club sponsored telemedicine projects. Our initiatives include connecting partner hospitals to our telemedicine network, Global Grand Rounds/Continuing Medical Education, and global teleconsults. We currently have 12 partner countries and 17 hospitals that participate in our telemedicine network.

    The GOSC Communication Director will focus on supporting the organization’s communications strategy. The ideal candidate will be excited about expanding and promoting telemedicine via social media. This is a volunteer position with 3 - 5 hours of work a week.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the creation of online content (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, website) that engages audience/ guide existing marketing team.
    • Manage the development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic materials such as the GOSC Brochure, monthly newsletter, and quarterly newsletters
    • Coordinate webpage maintenance-ensure that new and consistent information (article links, stories, and events) is posted regularly
    • Track and measure the level of engagement with our content over time
    • Manage posting of content such as interviews with doctors in each country and post videos of the interviews on social media and the website
    • Ensure that communications team operations are running smoothly
    • Update leadership with status updates for all communications deliverables
    • Report on communications initiatives and attend monthly staff meetings (2nd Monday of each month).

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Managerial experience
    • Must be well versed in social media and creating posts
    • Experience communicating for a global audience with multiple types of audiences and channels
    • Attention to detail
    • Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously and working autonomously
    • Experience with events, logistics, and various types of creative content development
    • Familiarity with WordPress is a plus
