We fundraise for our nonprofit, Power of Millennials, by operating concession portables at a major sporting venue in Cobb County, GA. This means that we serve customers food and beverages (for the most part we won’t be cooking/preparing the food), check them out on the POS systems, take inventory and clean the portable. This is a fun environment to be in because you're dealing with fans who are there to enjoy a great day out. As long as you arrive on time, all volunteers receive a free meal and beverage. The uniform is blue jeans with no holes or rips, no jewelry other than a plain wedding band, and black nonslip shoes. The uniform shirt will be provided to you.
All volunteers have to be 18+.
You have to get a Cobb county alcohol permit which is $30. We’ll reimburse you for the permit after you come volunteer at at least one event. This is just to ensure that we don't pay for a volunteer's alcohol permit that can't commit to volunteer. Everyone also has to attend an in person training. I will provide you with the dates if you are interested. You are required to have your state ID (or passport) and your Cobb county alcohol permit (that expires in 2027) to attend this training. If you aren't looking for court mandated community service hours, we have other opportunities available for interested volunteers. Please reach out to us to inquire about this.
