    Volunteer Social Media Coordinator

    Description / Mission

    For The One is a mission-driven nonprofit committed to advancing human dignity through ethical advocacy, storytelling, and partnership. We are seeking a Volunteer Junior Social Media Coordinator to support our communications efforts by helping manage and grow our social media presence.

    This entry-level volunteer role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit communications while contributing to meaningful, mission-aligned work.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with creating, scheduling, and posting content across social media platforms
    • Support development of captions, hashtags, and basic content ideas
    • Help maintain a consistent brand voice and tone
    • Monitor comments and messages and flag items for staff review when needed
    • Support awareness campaigns, announcements, and storytelling initiatives

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Interest in social media, digital storytelling, or communications
    • Familiarity with platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
    • Strong written communication skills
    • Reliable, organized, and open to learning
    • Alignment with ethical, respectful storytelling

    Preferred (Not Required)

    • Coursework, internships, or volunteer experience in marketing or communications
    • Experience using tools like Canva or basic scheduling platforms
    • Interest in nonprofit, advocacy, or mission-driven work
