    Workforce Development: Support Volunteer  (General Closet Assistant)

    Purpose of Support Volunteer

    Provide essential behind-the-scenes support to ensure the Professional Clothing Closet remains organized, welcoming, and ready to serve our clients. The Support Volunteer plays a vital role by sorting, tagging, organizing donated items; steaming, folding, hanging clothing as needed; restocking and refreshing displays. This role helps maintain a clean, orderly space that reflects dignity, professionalism, and care for every individual we serve.

    Instructions:

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Sort, tag, organize donated clothing and accessories to ensure efficient inventory flow.
    • Steam, fold, and hang items as needed to maintain a polished, professional appearance.
    • Restock, refresh displays to create a welcoming and inspiring environment for clients.
    • Maintain a clean, orderly, well-organized space that reflects professionalism and care of the program

    Expectations:

    • Work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Follow established organizational systems and guidance from leadership volunteers.
    • Handle all donations with care, professionalism and uphold confidentiality and respect.

    Qualifications:

    • Dependable, detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to quality and follow-through.
    • Comfortable performing light lifting and hands-on physical tasks as part of daily activities.
    • No prior experience required, comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided to help you succeed.
