    Description

Community Based Big Brother or Sister

Adult mentors (BIGs) 18 and older are matched with a youth (LITTLEs) from the ages of 6-15 old based on common interests, wants and preferences. The match meets a minimum of twice a month spending a minimum of 2 hours each meeting together. BBBS of Clarksville encourages low to no cost activities. We encourage the match to explore acitivies or hobbies they share. The match may also choose to go to the movies, out to eat, or take advantage of our many free pass opportunities. Outtings are arranged to fit your schedule as well as with input from the guardian. Big Brothers and Big Sisters are asked to commit to a one-year match. "Bigs" are not substitute parents, they are simply friends. Married couples can also serve as a match for a child. Matches do not have to end at 1 year they can ultimately follow the Little through the age of 18.
