Powered by a global network of experts and partner organizations, the Observatory is an evolving, trusted resource for anyone seeking to better understand the world around them.

    We are seeking Volunteer Researchers to join our editorial team and play a vital role in shaping, strengthening, and expanding our growing library of expert-written articles.

    Position Summary

    As a Volunteer Researcher, you will support the Observatory’s content development by ensuring accuracy, identifying new opportunities, and helping keep our articles relevant and fresh. This is a unique opportunity to apply your research skills to a mission-driven project with global impact.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Content Support: Conduct online research to support articles in development, ensuring accuracy, credibility, and depth.

    • Trend Tracking: Identify new article opportunities by analyzing reader interest and Google search trends.

    • Article Updates: Review published Observatory articles and add reputable, up-to-date sources to strengthen and refresh existing content.

    • Partnership Research: Identify potential book publishers for partnership and syndication opportunities.

    • Author Recruitment: Research and recommend potential new expert authors to join the Observatory.

    • Reference Guides: Identify and summarize useful guides and reference materials for everyday life questions relevant to our audience.

    • Collaboration: Work with editors, writers, and other team members to support engaging, fact-based content.

    Qualifications
    • Strong online research skills with attention to detail and accuracy

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team (via Google Meet and Google Workspace)

    • Previous research experience preferred

    • Passion for journalism, education, and the Observatory’s mission
