Virtual Hospitals Africa is looking for a senior volunteer to lead the effort to engineer our AI-supported systems with the potential to connect millions of Africans to health care
About Us
We are a non-profit addressing a vital healthcare gap in rural Africa. Our telemedicine platform links frontline workers with global specialists, enabling continuous care, early risk detection, and improved patient outcomes.
The Role
Our Algorithmic Intelligence Systems Lead will help architect AI-supported workflows to improve note-taking speed and enhance clinical decision making. These include:
- Audio transcript and translation pipeline
- Surfacing relevant medical documentation in real-time
- Auto-suggesting probable symptoms and diagnoses
- Image diagnostics
