    Description

Volunteer in an Educational Outreach Opportunity for Youth Led Initiative on Animal Welfare

    About UVFA

UVFA (United Voices for Animals) is a youth-led nonprofit initiative dedicated to promoting compassion, animal welfare education, and community advocacy. Our mission is to empower young people to lead meaningful projects that make their communities kinder and more informed.

    About the Kindness Curriculum

The UVFA Kindness Curriculum is an interactive educational program designed to teach children about compassion, empathy, responsible pet care, and humane behavior. Volunteers help bring this curriculum to schools, libraries, community centers, and youth groups through engaging lessons, activities, and discussions that inspire kindness toward animals and people.

    Volunteer Opportunity: Kindness Curriculum Volunteer

The Kindness Curriculum Volunteer role is a hands-on opportunity for volunteers who enjoy teaching, presenting, and working with children. Volunteers help deliver UVFA’s compassion-based lessons, participate in outreach events, and support project leads in expanding the program throughout their city.

    What You’ll Do

    • Assist in delivering interactive lessons on kindness, empathy, and responsible animal care
    • Visit schools, libraries, youth clubs, or community events (virtual or in-person)
    • Help lead activities, discussions, and kid-friendly demonstrations
    • Support the Project Lead in adapting or improving lesson materials
    • Represent UVFA and promote humane values in a positive, welcoming way
    • Optional: help design new lesson ideas, worksheets, or mini-activities

    What We’re Looking For

    • Students ages 13+
    • Enjoy working with children and presenting to small groups
    • Strong communication, patience, and a positive attitude
    • Interest in animal welfare, education, youth work, or/and public speaking
    • Reliable and able to commit to occasional presentations or events
    • No teaching experience required — training and materials are provided

    What You Gain

    • Real experience in teaching, leadership, and community outreach
    • Communication and public-speaking skills
    • Community service hours
    • Mentorship and training from UVFA Project Leads
    • A meaningful, long-term extracurricular for college applications
    • Opportunity to grow into Project Lead or City Lead positions

    Why It Matters

Children who learn kindness early become more compassionate adults.

By helping deliver the Kindness Curriculum, you’re shaping how young people think about empathy, animals, and community responsibility.
