Atlanta Angels knows that not everyone is called to foster or adopt, but everyone can make a difference in the life of a child. There are several ways you can make a difference. We have the Love Box program, where we match a foster family with a volunteer in their community who is committed to building a relationship and showing consistently. The Love Box program provides fostering families (caregivers, children in foster care, and biological/adopted children) with community and holistic support. When our families are matched with committed volunteers who show up monthly, parents feel supported and children gain a greater sense of normalcy, relational permanency, and self confidence.
This program requires a one-year commitment, with meetings at least once a month with your family.
We are currently seeking specific volunteers to be matched with families on our waitlist! We are specifically looking for volunteers in or around the Cartersville area for family number #9.
These caregivers have opened their home to so many kiddos over the years, and currently they have 9 children in the home - including their adult children (two 20yos, 18yo, two 17yos, 11yo, two 7yos, and a 2yo). Both caregivers work full-time. Two kids in their home are having visits everyday!!! The kids in the home enjoy a mix of activities from baseball, gymnastics, hunting, fishing, and working with cars. They could use lots of support, financially and emotionally. This family would be the perfect match for a group of volunteers!
