    Description

Join Our Community of Volunteers as Musicians and Singers!

Are you a musician or singer looking to make a meaningful difference in people's lives? Do you have a passion for bringing comfort and joy through music? If so, we invite you to join our YoloCares volunteer team and share your talent with hospice patients, individuals receiving palliative care, and seniors in assisted living facilities.

Who We Are: YoloCares is a nonprofit healthcare agency dedicated to delivering exceptional care to every patient and family, every time. Rooted in the principles of goodness and compassion, we have proudly served our community for over 45 years, offering a range of vital services including hospice, palliative care, caregiver support, companionship for seniors, and grief support.

Within our organization, the Citizens who Care volunteer department embodies our commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals navigating difficult circumstances. Comprised of a passionate and diverse group, our volunteers are united by a shared mission: to bring solace, comfort, and joy through the transformative power of companionship, and now music.

What We Do: As volunteers, we visit hospice patients, individuals in palliative care, and seniors in assisted living facilities to share our musical talents. Whether it's playing soothing melodies on instruments, singing uplifting songs, or simply providing a listening ear, our presence and music have a profound impact on the well-being of those we serve.

    Why Volunteer With Us:

    • Make a meaningful difference: Your music has the power to uplift spirits and provide comfort during challenging times.
    • Create connections: Build meaningful relationships with patients, residents, and the care team while sharing your passion for music.
    • Flexible volunteering: We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability and commitments.
    • Personal growth: Gain valuable experience in music therapy, empathy, and communication skills while volunteering with us.

How You Can Help: If you're a musician or singer interested in volunteering with hospice patients, individuals in palliative care, and seniors in assisted living facilities, we'd love to hear from you! Whether you play an instrument, sing, or both, your talent and compassion are invaluable assets to our volunteer team.

Get Involved Today: To join our community of compassionate musicians and singers, please contact the volunteer Manager, Dee Rasilau @ arasilau@yolocares.org.

We'll provide you with more information about our volunteer opportunities and guide you through the onboarding process.
