    Description

    Book Bank Volunteers Needed

Hundreds of books come into the Book Bank each day and need to find a new home. We need volunteers to sort books into cateogires, shelve the books, and fulfill book orders from organizations and businesses. Individuals and organizations take hundreds of books each week, and many of them are children's books. We encourage all of our students to take books home with them each time they come for tutoring. We want to increase literacy in New Haven!

The New Haven Reads Community Book Bank is currently seeking volunteers to help facilitate the book program on weekdays 12-3pm. Last year we donated over 116,000 books to the Greater New Haven community, so we could really use some help! We are in great need of volunteers who can commit to donating regular hours of time each week, so if you or anyone you know is interested please contact us!
